I enjoyed the last samurai, it was thought provoking and I like that in a movie.
probably my favourite film of the year though was I, Robot.
I liked the way the plot was delivered and it was a bit feel-good also.
I am specifically a Tom Cruise fan despite him starring in both

best film of the year, tricky...
I'll give you a few (in no specific order)
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Jim Carrey in a non comedy role for a change)
Kill Bill vol 1 and 2
I, Robot
Shaun of the Dead
Collateral
The Bourne Supremacy (no way as good as the book though)
Now, it's not release over here yet, but having just read the book, seen the trailers and the oher clips, I'm willing to add "Layer Cake" to the list.

Mine was 'The Terminal' until last weekend when I saw 'Layercake' - put's Lock Stock and the other 'plastic' U.K gangster films seriously in the shade IMHO.....
Still yet to see 'Alfie' yet though mind (my missus wants to see it you understand.... )

Collateral for me. Aint got round to watching man on fire yet though. AVP was good but nothing amazing.
Resident Evil Apocolypse was a pretty good sequel also.
