Default First real excursion with my D70

After having it a little while, I thought I'd try out my D70 at Goodwood today.
Still playing with it but generally quite pleased with the results....

....Aaaaa, who am I kidding, I'm VERY pleased with the results, especially for the first time out!

(And before this goes the way of every other D70 thread...
Yes, I bought one.
Yes, I'm aware of the canon
Yes, it's cheaper
No, I still didn't want one
Yes, I know about the latest models
No, I don't want any of them either.
My money, my choice, my D70 )

Thumbs up

Nice pics

What lens were you using and how far away were you from the action?

I agree with you 100% - can't go wrong with either camera, just what you prefer and what you are prepared to spend your money on. Judging from the results, you certainly made a good choice

At least you've posted some pics to prove how good the D70 is, rather than just bleating on about it I await the Canon fraternities pics for comparison

Once again, top pics mate

Right at the fence and in the pit lane using the standard 18-70.
Found that I was always looking for just a bit more zoom (those pics are quite tightly cropped).

Mmmmhhh... 24-120 VR here I come (hope the missus doesn't see this )

Yep, follow the link.

Very easy to setup and does a great job. It also resizes the image viewer to the current browser size. Of course, the best bit is the image preloader, works well and I've not had problems with it. Oh, and looks rather cool as well.

Cheers

Been using that for a year or so now. Good program and they actually LISTEN to your improvement suggestions!

All I do is take a copy of all the images, then simply resize them to 45x45. It isn't pretty as you change the aspect ratio. I use Photoshop and have set myself up a little action to do it.
