Default PC BBC caves in and rolls over!!!!

I now know that the BBc is the most PC and "yes men" going....

Little Britian is due to start on BBC1 this week,

and what do the pc beeb go and do cut it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and there crap pc excuse

"certain scenes that involve David the only gay man in the village will be reshot"

Little Britain is shown on BBc 3 which has a target audiance of 24-34

however as BBc1 is a family channel (WTF) we have had to make some changes regarding the David sketches"

this means there will be new material for the audiance to watch!!!

WTF what a load of crap....

erm what about the watershed you so proudly boast bbc????

and why will the 18-24 year olds be offended ????

ffs it will be the same target audiance watching you daft *****!!!

its a massive climb down and shows the beeb to be well in the pc grasp..

"got to be everyones friend, offend nobody we are multiculturally diverse""

erver heard of standing up for somthing

bbc... more like BAAAh Baaah C

And if they leave it all in then all the Murdoch Empire papers, plus Mein Kampf, sorry, the Daily Mail, et al will attack them for putting filth out on a prime channel, along with comments about: "don't they know how late kids stay up??" The BBC can never win, sandwiched between people like you and people like them.

How do you know what i am like???

by merely repeating what is in a national magazine, you now have an understanding of what i am like...

erm no ..

prehaps you would like to tell me why the beeb deems cuts are needed??

if the beeb was at all worried. all it had to do was not show the series...

unfortunatly the beeb is so hamstrung with crap programmes it needs the ones that do well to save it....

it just goes to show that if we drop all this pc crap and go back to being honest and accepting that people laugh at other people we may understand the dictatorship and fanatical control we have been living under...

So what are we saying here? It's cut as kids might be up late watching BBC1, but presumably the same kids are incapabale of switching to BBC3

Sorry, but the BBC are just being pathetic again. It's not even like they have financing to worry about FFS.

tiggers.

The BBC are a complete waste of time - so overly PC its shocking, and all their reporting is done with a total pro-government vested interest.

Interesting to note that the BBC tend to only report positive house price info - anything negative generally get ignored or down-played even when skynews and reuters are reporting it.

Scrap telly-tax IMO, they can make decent programmes tho thats the only annoying thing.

One thing I will say about the BBC is that the bickering about the license fee is exactly what keeps the BBC following the party line. The BBC has to undergo charter renewal and the next one is due in a few years. So, it suits the government to have a BBC that is sub-serviant and under attack from the public as this opens lots of doors along the lines of "We are not keen on that story you are about to run. However, before we discuss that lets have a word about your charter renewal..."

In truth if you want a strong BBC that doesn't have to toe the party line, no matter who the party is, then the best way to achieve this is not to complain about the BBC but to let the government know that you support the BBC and are willing to pay the license fee to have an independent broadcaster. If everyone did this then the BBC could report what it likes as the government would have no control over it. It would also be able to focus its attention on the things it does best in terms fo quality programming and ignore government demands that it creates loads of channels full of rubbish.

This is worth considering: by attacking the BBC and the license fee you actually drive them into the control of the government. If you attacked the government and supported the BBC then you would create a broadcaster strong enough to tell the government to bog off with no fear that it will be disbanded in a few years. The BBC doesn't need to be a goverment voice piece, you've forced it into that position. The BBC also doesn't need to put out hours of cheap political speculation, which some call news, and other crap but this has been forced upon it by the government.

And yet a show entertaining to the whole family abielt with a car theme - Top gear, remains relogated to BBC2 and gets cancelled at the slight sniff of a sporting event

Still, I suppose if it ever made it to BBC1 it would get cut, and re scripted to get rid of JC's non-PC views. And also to slow cars down as it conveys that speeding and driving like a loon in a suzuki is acceptable

I agree with Hedgegog. The Corporation is in the Government's pocket ever since the Hutton report rumpus and the worry about its charter being renewed. Disgraceful state of affairs but the new governors will support this attitude to keep their jobs.

Positive change in reporting now with respect to government affairs.
