has anyone in the South got access to a mobile speed camera for testing ??
As the Thread title says, has anyone got access to equipment that can test the effectiveness of a radar detector/camera van jammer. I am looking for sensible suggestions, not drive past a van at 100 & wait for the postman!!
I have managed to source a hand held radar gun, just need a Mobile camera van or the same technology
I would suggest anyone who can help PM's me.
These I understand are new to the market but I want to see if they work before ordering several
This is from the manufacturers blurb :-
RMR DLS 350 combined detector jammer/laser jammer.
* 150 metres advance warning of gatso camaras.
* 1500 metres advance warning of hand held laser guns.
*1750 metres advance JAMMING of police laser guns
* 1750 advance JAMMING of police camara vans
* Smart-scan proceser (increaces detection distance up to four times faster).
*Strength/signal indicator.
*100 % legal to use.
*12V power supplied.
*360 Degrees protection.
* Audioble warning.
* Detects all VG-2/VG-3.
* Unit dimensions: ( I.I"H x 2.5" W x 3.6" D)

You might want to try sending a PM to some of our resident coppers. One of them did a test such as your describing relatively recently. Failing that, look at the product reviews on the http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/ site.

Strange....no offers eh? And it was such a simple request...."could one of you little hitlers who drive round in "safety camera partnership vans" please lend it to me for a couple of hours. Hmmmm. Might they be putting their (self-important) job at risk if they did?
