Question Natural daylight lamps - worthwhile?

Just wondered if anyone has any knowledge about lamps that provide a more natural light than flourescent bulbs etc.?

Found this site http://www.justnaturalstuff.co.uk/is...hopscr310.html, but would like to know if anyone's got any experience of these sort of things?

I was thinking that a small lamp in the office at home would be better than the halogen desk lamp or main ceiling lamps when working at home all day during winter.

Any comments/pointers/thoughts?

Cheers,
Steve

i have a bulb i bought in homebase

it gives off a more natural softer light- no duller or dimmer tho. It has a very slight blue tint when you look at the glass (when its off)

Much much better- cost a few quid.....

That's an idea Freak - A new lamp that takes a daylight bulb would be cheaper than £99 quids worth of desk lamp!

Talking

Had a daylight bulb in an ordinary angle-poise lamp. Bit more expensive than the boring standard ones but better and a nice colour blue too

Thumbs up

Thare are now fluorescent tubes available, (apparently) which give off light very close to daylight, recommended to sufferers of S.A.D.

Aha - slightly cheaper: http://www.justnaturalstuff.co.uk/is...hopscr382.html

Still need to get a lamp to fit them to - £100 for an anglepoise is a bit steep!
