Default Bit of Dull Mobile Phone Contract Advice Please!

OK Checked my current O2 contract and it runs out a little later than I thought-December 23rd. The new phone I want is due out around December 13th.
The questions are:
If I ask O2 to hold this particular phone for me until that date will they do it?
Will they even, considering how close we are to the end of the current contract, give me the phone on the 13th?
What if they can't even get the phone but another provider can? How much notice do I have to give O2 to terminate the service after the 23rd? (For the life of me, I can't see that info in the small print).

Thanks.

I love you all

what phone is that??

bit close to chrimbo.... i rekons more like the 27th..

generally you have to give a months notice to leave,, normally at 11 months for finish at 12...

if you want to go just contact disconnections, and ask for your pac code..

be aware that some providers assume if you havnt cancelled by the end of the 12months, a new 12 month contract comes into effect!!

It's too late though 'init'? If I want to keep my number and have the phone before xmas I'll have to hope O2 come through.
