Do You Know What Santa Is Getting You?
My list comprised of a Lens for the superior Canon 300D
and/or
A Radio Controlled Helicopter!! (Just cos I've always wanted one!)
My boyish personality hopes for the Helicopter - which I know will be in pieces come Xmas Evening
But, the lens would last for years and years ............
What are YOU hoping to get??
Pete

Holy **** ............ thats a PROPER helicopter!! petrol and everything!!
Mine will be Electric if I get one, and (apparently) easier to fly as they have advanced electronic gyros/controls or something?
I reckon I will tie it to the floor for a while until I can hold it level an inch or two above the ground!?
I'm hoping it comes with a lead to connect to the PC and a program to learn how to fly

petrol? - nitro you mean, the smell is tremendous by the way .
helis are notoriousley hard to fly, why not get to grips with a cheap nitro trainer plane first - you can learn about nitro engines ( that alone is an art ), RC-hand to eye co-ord, and aerodynamics all in one go. You will stuff it, so do it cheaply with a trainer plane.

Guy at work is well into model helicopters. Think he had about 5 last time I spoke to him. He has a couple of smaller 'training' versions as he said that crashes are quite frequent. Some of the modding was quite funny(yep, even goes on in the model helicopter world ) - carbon fibre rotor blades etc. Can get a little expensive, if the bug bites...

Known prezzies:-
Scalextric Skoda Fabia WRC car (My hobbies - Slot car racing, RC touring car racing)
I-Robot
The Verve (best of or summat)
And a couple of other things I'm not sure about. My GF thinks I'm quite hard to buy for but I've got many toy car related hobbies I would have thought it would be easy.
