Pregnancy type advice
I have been a silly boy - made an idiotic assumption that the current g/f was on the pill, so feel free to hammer me for that.
The issue is though that she has never used the pill and is apparently allergic to it. She has recently moved to the area and I dont know much of her past.
Now, the crux - we have been together for 3 weeks. She is now telling me she is pregnant. I have no idea on how the biology works, but is it her possible for her to be carrying my baby already? Would ovulation work (or not work) that quickly?
Tried NHS direct but could referred to useless sites - just want to know whether I am being set up a bit here - please excuse my suspicious mind...
Serves me reet anyway.

You could be being set up....but its also very possible she is pregnant - a woman can get pregnant at any time (or did you miss that biology lesson)

Scoob babe - must have missed it all to be so daft!
I am not disputing the fact that she could be - all the signs point to it, - just wondered if nature could do its business in the time we have been together!

and go buy ClearBlue and get her to do some target practice - that way you'll know for sure (well more certain than symptoms, she could be panicking and fooling herself into thinking she's pregnant) !

dont you have to wait a certain amount of time before you can be sure if you are / not pregnant?
3 weeks seems a little early, even if you have been dipping your quill in her ink, will it show this early?
suggest you seek professional help, get the tests done make sure its yours, she could have been pregnant before you got together by someone else and now you could be left holding the nappy.
ofcourse this could all be tosh...

As far as I know, Fitz, the chemicals in your body change immediately hence the reaction on the tests - it detects the presence of them!

Ahh i stand corrected never been pregnant myself
even so, depends on how things are between the two of you, if you love her and she loves you then great, if however things are not that great, then definately make sure the baby is yours...

It depends, on how quickly the sperm reaches the egg! I imagine every woman is different. Like I said, I didn't realise I was pregnant until about 3 weeks exactly. I went off food, and was incredibly tired. I went home that evening and did a test, and it came back positive. I'm only just starting to crave food again now, but I'm not 100%!!

I'm confused you got to miss a cycle to know your pregnant so does this mean she's 7 weeks pregnant .sorry i'm a bit naive I was 3months before i clicked on ,and i'm a nurse I put it down to stress because we were getting married.

You have to catch it at the right time. I was due for my next period at about 2 weeks after I conceived. That's another way that I knew. So by the time I found out, I was a week late. When I had my scan this time last week, I was 5 weeks exactly.
Hope that makes sense!

I can confirm you can tell at 3 weeks as that's when I knew really, although I don't think I did the test straight away, but I did know. I also agree with Kell, ovulation takes place between around day nine and day fourteen of the cycle, so you would know at about three weeks, due to the absence of the period.

Has she asked you for money for a pram and cot yet?
If she has, she is likely to be taking the p1ss.
Watch Eastenders you will learn loads from Den and Zoe.

Did you do it standing up? If you did, she can't get pregenant.
on a more serious note, get some tests done. Home one then one at the Docs.
and next time, if in doubt, bag it

Hold on a mo.. If she knew she wasn't on the pill, but knew (I assume) that you weren't taking procutions either, wtf was she doing letting you have unprotected sex for?? Unless she was completely nieve about where babies come from, she must have known there was a risk even if you (in your ignorace) didn't.
Sounds like she's either
a) not pregent and want you to belive she is for some reason
b) is pregnent by you and wanted to get pregnent
c) was already pregent when you met
Sorry about the spelling. Got to rush to watch "child of our time"... where'e the irony..
