Watched it last night actually; IMO its OK but its not as good as the first one and theyre both way short of the books that inspired them.

Was it just me or did Cruise in the close ups of his face sometimes have the Japanease Cinamatic look to him in this film. Hair style and sun glasses etc. The ending was a bit dried up and sudden.

Thought the story was good but a little predictable towards the end. Tom Cruise doesn't come across as cool in a way that, say, Leon did.
The thing that really got me going and I may be missing the point here, was the camera work. Especially at the beginning, the camera was shaky, the subject matter was never centered and the editing didn't flow (as in the camera was panning right to left following a car it would then cut to a scene panning from top to bottom) It just annoyed me barely 10 minutes in.

Watched Collateral then Bourne Supremacy one after the other on a plane to US last week.
Thought Collateral was poor - poor storey line, poor acting, poor ending
Thought Bourne Supremacy was excellent

It was the best film I watched at the cinema last year.I loved the way it was filmed-very stylish(all digital I think). The end wasn't great but the action and dialogue between Cruise and the cab driver was excellent.

Trouble with Tom Cruise is he's never really scaled the dizzy heights of Top Gun again has he?
I thought Collateral was no better than OK to be honest.
