Angry Grrr @ B&Q Rawlplugs

B & Q have stopped selling genuine rawlplugs and instead push their own very naff crappy rawlplugs that can't take the weight of toilet roll...yet alone a set of heavy duty shelves

Just my luck to run out of rawlplugs when all the trade places that sell proper ones are shut

Why oh why do they insist on selling such crappy overpriced rubbish?

Owned by the same people, allegedly, I got some really good ones from there, made of nylon, softer and grippier, easier to drive a screw into, made by a German, I believe company, called Fischer.

I've found the same in Wickes too.

Personally, I'd not buy from B&Q unless they had something I wanted that no-one else stocked.
Overpriced, and quite often, as you've found, rubbish.
Wickes have far better stuff .

Mmmm maybe your not using the right size of plug and/or screw. What colour of plug, what size of screw and what size drill bit have you used for this 'heavy duty shelf' ?
