The old town is very pretty some OK bars easy to pull girls in clubs they are starting to get really pissed of with drunken english and italian lads acting like ******. Things tend to be cheap but in the old town in tallin they will try to charge you English prices for everything.

Also going to Tallinn in June to celebrate the end of uni. 5 or 6 lads going, can anyone recommend somewhere cheap but decent to stay? Hotel or maybe an apartment would be better..?
Cheers,
Ben

Went on a day trip from Helsinki once on the hydrfoil..... it was a very sad place back then just on the cusp of a revival. Some very nice buildings in the old town, but very bland in the newer part. Beware beggars, they were all over the place and pretty insistant too. Never forget a tour guide who took us around to show us the place, she kept apologising for the state of the place, very sad.
I should think in the intervening years, ( about 10 now ), the city has regenerated and is now a much nicer place to visit. Dunno if you are into churches, but their chuches are very typical Russian with the gold icons etc. Quite impressive.
