- Lying to the British prople over Sadam's WMDs.
- Invading Iraq contarty to public opinion.
- Wasting parlimanet time and using the parliament act to force through the hunting bill.
- Doing sweet F.A. while foot and mouth disease spread the length of the country.
- Raising NI and Tax, CONTRARY to what was in the labour party manifesto.
- Being responsible for a treasury that has plundered peoples pensions.
- Spending vast quantities of public money on inquiries and reports that have painted him and his government as whiter than white.
I could go on....
Oh, he only apologises for things he wasn't directly involved in..... Maybe he would like to apologise for not being responsible for the final solution!

That could be a shrewd move on Howards part if he unreservedly apologises to the British people for the lies told to them over weapons of mass destruction....

The operation of this Act is not meant to be a basis for freedom of propaganda - it is supposed to be the basis for open government

It is interesting that, despite his behaviour, he has presided over a government that has introduced new "crimes" at the rate of one every three days. Some are pretty scary as well such as holding a concert in a church without a licence! Think of the damage that could do to the fabric of society.
The interesting thing about these crimes is that they have rarely been along the lines of "breaks into houses and beats up old people so will be removed from society." Almost all of them have been aimed at members of your local Scouts who might hold their concert in the church only to be taken away and tortured until they confessed to their actions.
Basically more and more trivial acts are being made into bigger and bigger crimes while those involved in real crime are free to go about their business. So, any chance he will appologise to all the people going about their business that he has criminalised? Any chance that while he is doing that he might send a man out to catch some real criminals?
