I know what you mean; Im quick to critisize people who dismiss what they dont appreciate as 'rubbish', but I really think that they are superficial and will soon be forgotten. I dont mean to comment on how they sound as thats completely subjective; but I feel that they have no substance, its difficult to qualify without sounding like a pretentious muso.

Frans Ferdinand - I like them, but based upon the "quality" of their performance they should have been stripped of their awards. Best "Rock" act, get real.

As for McFly, apart from being ****e, why doesn't the lead singer wear a shirt a size bigger and stop doing up his top button, he might breathe easier. He looks like the mini-me of Mike Peters of The Alarm.

I am shocked, the Mrs is sitting here telling me what an old man I am for not like modern stuff but i'm sorry its all complete and utter sh!te. How can Franz bloody Ferdinand be best rock band ffs, since when can their noise be classified as the same type of music as the greatest rock band of all time, Queen? As for Scissor Sisters, well they just about sum up the utter crap that is produced now 
Robbie Williams getting best song for the last 25 years??? Eh what about some of the biggest bands of all time being over looked such as U2 or Queen for example?

The girlfriend tells me they'd doctored the Franz Ferdinand performance as it was actually WORSE than that made it sound!
Green Day were a bright spot in a ****e awards so far. That and Robbie Williams' face when 'Gary' and 'Howard' were called on stage
