Oddest mix of music on a 'home made' CD
Inspired by the '80s music thread I just dug out a CD of 'all my favourite tunes' put together about 3/4 years ago and found it contained the following:
EchoBeach Martha and the Muffins
Atomic Blondie
Only Here (for a little time) Kylie
Dignity Deacon Blue
Cocaine Eric Clapton
Running to Stand Still U2
Cream Prince
You Make Me Feel Like Dancing Leo Sayer
Lets Dance 5ive
In Constant Sorrow Soggy Bottom Boys
MIB Will Smith
The Way Dara
Silver Thunderbird Marc Cohen
Rocky Mountain High John Denver
I Hear You Knocking Dave Stewart
Hippy Hippy Shake Troggs (?)
Someday Ill be Saturday Night Bon Jovi
Its My Life Bon Jovi
Over the Rainbow Eva Cassidy
And I still think it's pretty
Do I need help....?

I was with you until Leo Sayer
I don't think the troggs did 'hippy hippy shake' as a cover either - try "love is all around" for the proper original troggs version.

I am very happy in my little world of eccentric musical tastes!
Dara - an Irish band, much liked by U2 actually - the girls from Dara played violin on The Sweetest Thing. They also played live for U2 when they were given the freedom of Dublin - and also on stage with the Stereophonics on New Years Eve.
Who said I had to conform anyway!

Oh - and it is the original version of Hippy Hippy Shake. Plus I realised I missed one out - between Dignity and Cocaine is Summer Fun by the Baracudas!
Hmmm just realised as I was typing - Summer Fun lies between Dignity and Cocaine.....think there may be a lesson for us all there somewhere!
