Check his usual walks, that's where they usually go before trundling off too far. Check the dog pound and let the Police know as well and just in case he makes it back under his own steam, leave the gate open as he's just as likely to come home and find the gate shut and decide to bugger off again.

Ive been out twice now. Ive been round the usual places yeah and no sign off him. He usually loiters around the green on the estate. Ive drove round the village countless times and been round the village across the dual carriageway, which im pretty sure he wouldnt go to. Ive been down all the streets on our estate and a few tracks nearby too.

Our old border collie legged it when we were visiting friends in York, looked for ages and nothing. After a very bad nights sleep she turned up back on our friends doorstep New one has done exactly the same thing!

Really hope you find him mate, keep phoning the local vets, our dog went missing a while back, turned out she escaped through the fence and someone took it to the local vet. They didn't bother calling despite the dog being chipped and collar having our name and number etc.

Our pup has more metalwork round his neck than the local scrap yard and is tattooed and chipped. The one time he did escape he made it as far as the first person he came across. We caught up with him on his back having a fuss made of him, soppy sod.

I used to have a dog that was a top escape artist and every time he got out we used to phone the police and dog warden first before doing any searching. We were lucky in that every single time he got out the person who found him would also do the same so we were able to go and pick him up from the police station. There are plenty of honest people about who will do the same if they find yours so fingers crossed. Btw, mine had no road sense either but he was always ok.
The dog we have now is microchipped and wears our phone numbers round her neck. The only time she did get out was when someone left the gate open and, after four of us searching far and wide for ages we found her in the field about 50 yards from the house having a good sniff around
I hope you find yours ok, I know how awful it feels when they go missing.

Glad you have got him again, very upsetting when you lose a well loved pet like that.
Think an apology from that supersensitive chap with the bad taste remark would not be out of place!

Did someone take him to the vets? If so it's encouraging to see acts of kindness despite what Blair is doing to society!
