Bond films of late have more been focused on cheesey moody shots to make brosnan look good than anything else, this IMHO has killed the films.
maybee its time for an uglier, more down to earth bad *** bond?
Martini Mr Bond?
No thanks, bitter - and a bag of grannies toenails.

Saw Clive Owen in the Driver and Closer. IMHO he would have been an appalling Bond - no class, much more of an East End thug made good. Brilliant Kray, but crap Bond.
But that's 2 films, so maybe it's just his excellent acting for both of them?

I don't think he's too bad a choice TBH.
He's not a bad looking bloke, certainly better than a wrinkly Connery - Apparition you nutter.
I am a little concerned that he's a bit of a munchkin though. How tall is he?
Apart from the fact that Brosnan is a total pouter he never looked butch in the way Connery could.

Brosnan was a perfect Bond........all his films were wrecked with "special" effects......but the bloke looked like Bond was supposed to.
Layercake bloke looks like a baddies sidekick at best.
and Bond is not the Bourne films (although Brosnan might be more convincing as am ex special forces covert assain than 19 year old Matt Damon! (were did the CIA find him? recruit him from Nursery?)

Clive Owen would have been a good choice IMHO. Think Daniel Craig would pass for bond.
Tiggs - Thats the main thing I can't swallow about the Bourne films. He just looks too young.

Connery - excellent and the original.
Moore - smooth and slimey, not how Bond was intended but his films are the ones I watch over and over.
Lazenby - was "ok". Only did 1 film so dunno.
Dalton - The best "Bond" of them all.
Brosnan - took the best assets of all of the previous actors.
Craig - is not a Bond.
Owen - could be, lose a little weight and the rest will come with the role....just watch croupier ffs!!!

I've just been told that Wogan is saying (on his breakfast show) that Brosnan is staying and that all the rumours have been hype.
Anyone know what's happening?
