laser garage door opener;) - fitting for Classic?
where about on the front of the car do you guys put the laser jamming head ?
the number plate sticks way out past the top /bottom grille
and overcoming vibration/movement must be quite hard?
looking at the le-30 which also comes with a toggle switch for on/off , a discrete placement for this?

My " Garage door opener " works fine right under the middle of the No Plate. have a toggle switch with built in screecher on one of my blanks next to the headlight adjustment on MY02 WRX.

No jammers for VASCAR though guys, seriously, take care, and save it for the right places.
(Don`t want to sound patronizing, because I didn`t buy a Scoob to drive like a grandad everywhere; just don`t want anyone to think they`ve got all the bases covered with a laser-jammer )

nice pics phil just what i was looking for.
my only worry about positioning so low, is stone damage, by the amount of stone chips that i have on my bumper in that area ,it gets frequently hit so the head might get damaged?
can you see the LED ok in that position?

Phil's is the same as mine except i have my switch built in to the led, when you switch it on you get two bleeps that let you know that the system is functioning and a audible warning when you are targetted.
No stone chip damage so far(1 year 6 months old).it's about the only part on the front of my car that has n o chips lol.
hope this helps.

Did you guys go for the professional installation? Or good old DIY?
Looks simple enough, put don’t want to mess it up.
looking to fit to a classic, there’s a metal section which comes from the bonnet release to the bumper which would be perfect to mount the brackets to , but not much clearance with radiator right behind and working through the grille bars , is going to be tough ( don’t fancy the bumper off!)

I'm sure that everyone already knows this but it seems that Plod have finally cottoned on to the use of jammers. Some poor bloke had Plod turn up at 6am, his car impounded and he was dragged to the station and charged (and prosecuted for) peverting the course of justice. He had been clocked by two separate cameras in different areas but neither could get a speed fix but both still registered his number plate. Plod simply looked up his details to see if there had been any other incidents where his speed did not register due to "errors" and as there were, they decided to pay him a visit at 6am. The ray of light is that the CPS eventually dropped the charges, but it has got to make you think whether jammers are worth it?

I agree that people need to think long and hard before fitting a laser jammer.
Being arested is not a trivial thing, for example you can no longer get into the USA without a visa even if you were never convicted. There is also a lot of other paperwork you might encounter in life which asks if you have ever been arrested.
Some users of jammers may like to balance this up against the £60 fine and 3 points which may, in truth, be a less severe penalty for many.
I have had the police national computer story confirmed from other sources and so am inclined to believe that they are logging vehicles with jammers fitted. I don't know when they start coming for people in large numbers but it is worth being careful.
There are other ways to defend against an accusation of speeding, take a look at the PACE defence on the pepipoo site for example.

THIS CHAP WAS NEVER PROSECUTED, NEITHER HAS ANYONE ELSE! (HE WAS ONLY CHARGED ")UPDATE 14th March 2005: FANTASTIC NEWS..... Totally out of the blue, the CPS have dropped the case and no reason was given to why."
If the CPS brought the case and he was found not guilty then precedent would be set, and everyone will know where they stand

Taken from the US Embassy Website:
"Travelers who have been arrested, even if the arrest did not result in a criminal conviction, and those with criminal records, (the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act does not apply to U.S. visa law), are not eligible to travel visa free under the Visa Waiver Program. They are required to apply for visas. If they attempt to travel without a visa, they may be refused entry into the United States. "
But like you said, enough of the Legal stuff!
