One for the hi fi buffs........bi-amping?
I have a (pretty old) Technics pre, and power amp system, which, although not up to modern standards, isn't too shabby. It's NOT the setup with the power meters on the power amps, but the slightly older version producing 150Wpc into 8 ohms.
I've got a chance of buying another matching power amp, so, assuming I get it, should I:
a) Use the system as twin monoblock, (the power amps are configured for this via a small switch on the rear), or,
b) Use the two power amps in stereo configuration to bi-amp my speakers?
(I already have the speakers bi-wired.)
And secondly, if I were to do b), how would it get connected, since the pre-amp only has one set of pre-outs? Would I need Y connectors, or could I use the outputs designated for a graphic equalizer?
Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me.

Try both ways, use whichever sounds best to you.
Y connectors on preamp out should be ok, although if you have the manual it should tell you if output level from ge out is same as preamp out although the ge out might be from a different point, ie before tone controls (if any). Keep signal leads short as possible.
