Arrow Oh the irony - labour voters take note

LOL

Lets now sit back and watch the Labour party's policies completely shaft those that make up the majority of their support.

Lets sit back and see how those on lower incomes face bankruptcy and homelessness from excessive consumer debt

Lets sit back and watch as there are yet more job losses as what's left of Britain's manufacturing and assembly plants are forced to close and relocate because they cannot compete in a global market.

Lets sit back and watch as those who have worked hard all their lives in middle and lower paid jobs see their pensions decimated by taxation.

Lets all sit back and see thousands of immigrants take jobs form those who need them most.

The list is endless. The real irony is that those who can't afford to fund another labour term and yet follow blindly will suffer the most.

I'm not going to argue this one out, the figures speak for themselves. How many of you who voted labour and who are now rather weakly gloating, in what was probably Blair's worst result yet, actually and fully understand the british economy and the long term impact of labour's fiscal policy?

And I don't mean what is printed in the newspapers, because it is a matter of fact that that is sometimes very wide of the mark.

It's strange how most of the people I know professionally in the accountancy, banking and other financial services, being people who actually understand the reality of the british economy, believe Labour's policies are a recepie for long term financial disaster.

But what would they know....

Its perhaps even more ironic that I genuinely hope they've got it wrong, and that Blair and Brown somehow know better than those actually qualified to comment on these matters.

Because if they don't, we're all f ucked. Labour, Conservative, Lib Dem, UKIP, SNP, SSP, BNP voters alike.

It will be no consolation for me, or anyone else to post on here and say "I told you so".

We will all have more to be concerned about that words on a computer screen.

The only consolation is that the lib dems didn't win. That bunch of clowns make Labour seem like a sensible choice.

I started this post with a "LOL"

Strangely, I don't feel like laughing any more.

Pete, that's exactly what I and most on here expected from you. Its a shame you cannot offer more constructive comment to demonstrate your superior intelligence as a labour supporter

It's even more telling when it's turned into a personal slur based on intelligence.

A very stupid comment, Pete, even by your standards.

I have, for weeks, beaten every Tory Policy - every Tory story - every Tory scare on here.

The British public have shown their complete support for my stance

The time for playing politics is over ...... lets just rejoice in the thought of 5 more years of wealth and better hospitals and schools!

'Personal'????

It's a generic slur ...... on the general Tory supporter who clearly didn't quite understand the policies

Saying its 'personal' illustrates my point EXACTLY! and fully supports it!

Question

You are saying that Tory voters are personally unintelligent and inferior to Labour voters.

Or are you claiming something else now??

No, Pete, you haven't.

The posts and facts demonstrate that quite clearly.

You can continue with your wittering drivel as long as you want - the numbers speak for themselves.

Labour "won" with approximately 1/3 of the voting public's support.

Assuming a 60% turnout - which may be generous, Blair goes back to number 10 with the votes of, basically, the support of 20% of the british public.

20% Pete. Thats 1 in 5

Seems that not even all the chavs turned out this time round

I do and that's why I support Labour. The crash is going to be a great time for some of us.

BTW I'm rather strongly gloating because I got what I wanted. Roll on my 997.

This election just goes to show what a farce our electoral system is. Only 36.4% of the voting population wanted a labour government, logically and morally I fail to see how that is a mandate from the people to govern. Of course no party in power is ever going to change the system, so we are stuck with people becoming ever more disaffected with politics and casting their vote which in the scheme of things matters very little.

Diablo ......

What portion of the vote did the Tories get??

Even on your planet you MUST see that its LESS than the Labour vote!!

For a party fighting a supposedly unpopular government that is utterly PATHETIC

Now, admit it and stop the bull

Public services, schools, hospitals, transport, roads etc. are all, IMO, as bad as they were 10 years ago. I'm just paying more tax for the privilege. If there was an obvious improvement, then I'd have nothing to complain about, but I just can't see any.

In a way, I'm glad the tories didn't win this election, as I fully expect the economy to collapse within the next couple of years. The days of borrowing money (as many have done) against your property are nearly over (wife works in a bank, and the loan business is drying up) What then?

So who's going to open the book on Tony's first back bench rebellion then?

Come on then, Pete, humour me; what *exactly* did you mean when you said Tory voters were unintelligent and inferior? In your own words, in your own time.

Pete, thats my point. No party in power is going to change the system, but as this result proves it's fundimentally flawed. Yes there was a 3% difference in the popular vote, but there's not a 3% difference in the numnber of seats won.

P.s I have to say, I like your style. pick out the bits of a post and either ignore the rest or take it out of context. You are Alistair Cambell and I claim my £20.

Diablo I'm not hiding, I've already posted a thread here in NSR where I state I'm retiring my old user name.

This one seems appropriate. Now roll on the "Help I'm getting REPO'd threads" in a few months time.

I'll be here laughing my **** off as REPOMAN or similar.

And here lies the true intentions of a supporter of NL's 'social justice'. In other words, who gives a **** about the economy and others so long as you line your pockets.

What I don't understand is, if you thought the Tories were going to do a worse job with the economy (if that's possible) then why not vote for them? A bigger crash means more cash for you doesn't it? Nope, because that would show up your lie. You want NL back because you want everyone to be fcuked so you can make a few quid.
