Carp Anglers
Carp Anglers are the lowest of the low. How I hate them with their bivouacs, beds, boilies, carpet baiting, 200 yards fishing range, Specimen fish with names, three rods to get tangled, bite alarms, PVA string, three days without a bite, televisions and total lack of imagination or love for the real art of fishing. A real triumph of technology over common sense that has ruined innumerable waters.

And pike fishing isn't detrimental to the water like a thousand rotting boilies is. You can hardly carpet bait with a hundredweight of sprats.

Used to **** off a few of the carp boys when I fished, would catch the occasional 'lump' on 2.5lb line with a size 20 hook whilst they sat there for hours with all the gear catching nothing

And the number of them that say "I got snapped up by one half an hour ago" when they're fishing minimum 8lb line is ridiculous. 8lb line is unbelievably difficult to snap by pulling on it with a rod. Sheer incompetence or lies.

Quit carping Bubba.....
Bubba
Here's one Fiestaboy caught last year.
the scenario...
3 rods
sat in the bivvie
radio blasting
rubber boilies on the hooks
pva netting holding the groundbait
bite alarms - each with a different tone
...only took 2 whole days to catch pictured specimen fish called Colin @24lb

He should be holding up a card with a prisoner number on it, not a carp.
And that carp is obviously the village idiot of carp to be caught by that method.

Fishing for Carp is great. It's the "accepted" method that's all wrong. It's like they think that spending two grand on tackle and doing the same as all other "carp" anglers guarantees them a fish!

No, I love carp and I've caught loads. My favourite fish are tench, though. On the right water and at the right time of day you're as likely to catch either. Which is nice.

Well if thats how they want to enjoy their fishing-why not?
Its not a lot different to buying back boxes, up pipes, decat downpipes, four into one manifolds, Dawes devices, bump steer mod., solid anti roll bar links, reworked engine management, etc etc for your Scoob is it? All to get to the speed limit a bit faster
I prefer standing in the middle of the river casting a fly for sea trout in the dark, or spinning for pike, but if thats what they enjoy, good luck to them.

I Carp fish and love it and yes have done the odd 3 days
bivvie
2 rods
Bait alarms
Bollies / other baits
PVA bags or string
Most of the lakes I fish don't allow carpet baiting and some have even disallowed bollies
each to there own I guess
