X&Y is excellent, like all their albums. Fix you and Swallowed in the sea are my faves at the mo.
I heard on the radio they are selling 150 copies a minute
Looking forward to seeing them on 27th
James Blunt is also excellent. High and Beautiful are crackers.

I like it a lot too, Square One and Talk being my faves at the minute. I'm one of those pretentious fans who won't stop going on about discovering them before anyone else First saw them shortly after Parachutes came out in a crowd of 1000 in Cardiff. Going to be a bit different this summer - seeing them at Glastonbury and also on the 27th at Crystal Palace, might see you there Phil.
IMO Chris Martin seems a decent bloke, at least he's using his fame to promote something worthwhile in contrast to some of his peers too busy securing their 'rock&roll' image. I've met Will (the drummer) and he seemed a very nice chap.

Well, I do like Coldplay. I'm not overly keen on Chris' whole "Free Trade" thing, it should be about the music and not some viewpoint you have, but then what is the point of being famous and not being able to preach about the things you care about?
Anyway, I'm downloading X&Y at the moment, and will have a listen, I'm sure I'll like it and if not, it'll grow on me, just as ROBTTH did.
As with most things, comes down to personal taste. I like Coldplay, some don't. I probably would consider some of your musical tastes to be bland and sleep inducing.
I do somewhat regret not being able to get tickets to the small concert they played in Toronto the other week, it was meant to be rather good.

I haven't bought X&Y yet, but will be doing so.
Parachutes was excellent, ROBTTH took almost 18 months to grow on me, though ,but when it did, I even went and got the DVD, which is *spectacular* in 6 channel DTS (but only if you are a are a fan).
Regretfully I won't be going to see them in Arnhem, as I have some parental commitments and had to pass on my tickets.
Suresh
P.S. Is James Blunt some kind of rhyming slang? Never heard of him.

'Billy' is my favourite so far.
Still think you'll grow to prefer:
High, Beatiful, Goodbye My Lover, and Tears and Rain
For those that don't know.... James Blunt served in the UN Peace-keeping force in Kosovo and he used to walk around making up and singing songs that were less than complementary about the good old army-life His songs seem to reflect the fact that he's seen quite a few sides of life.
Anyone that likes James Blunt should check out Jack Johnson (slightly cheerier but even better ) Easier to sing along to as well, as he doesn't appear to have his ********* caught in a vice
He guests on the Black Eyed Peas new album....amazed to find him on it as somewhat contrasting styles of music but it's great that he's getting the recognition over here. He's massive in Australia.

I can't get enough of this album.

i'm in two minds really. half of me says good tunes and some of the best progressive atmospherics since maybe floyd and the other half says dreadful, fey sixth-former lyrics from a dewy-eyed fop who writes on his hands.
i can see why opinion is divided.

My god SiPie, its like you are writing what I am thinking. I was going to suggest Jack Johnson too. Have you heard the Handsome Boy Modelling School remix of Breakdown? If not, check it out its a real nice reworking and displays another mix of styles.
Just hope this old train breaks down.......
