Very interesting discussion on Radio 2 at the moment, several people have been ordered by their local planning authorities to take down flags hanging from the front of their properties.

I would guess that your thoughts would be along the same lines as mine, PC councils gone mad again. But no, they have a planning officer form Peterborough on the programme, and apparently the problem is that they don't have planning permission. The owners are being told that they must submit a planning application which will more than likely be granted.




But guess what, here's the catch, along with said application any prospective flag flyer must submit a fee of £265
