I work in Criminal Law, and from time to time see a few pimps getting prosecuted....Most are drug addicts who are pretty penniless.......I imagine they drive untaxed uninsured H reg cavaliars and the like!....
So, Ive never met a pimp who drives what we may consider to be pimp cars...ie big beemers, anything with huge wheels and a drop etc...
Your thoughts please!

I would say that most pimps, who would like to stay out of the big house, would be somewhat more subtle than the usual wannabe pimps, who are the type to drive around in blinged out Range Rovers and such like.
There are a few rather "bling" type cars in our apartment garage complex (Hummers and Rangies on 22 inchers, blacked out, chrome everywhere) and a few of us do wonder whether they are "players" or just ******. The concensus at the moment, given from what we've seen of the owners, is the latter, rather than the former.

Thanks to the likes of snoop dogg, 50p, Xhibit and all the other ****, the term 'pimp' is now something to aspire to for the latest generation, pimp is .
I think you hit the nail on the head with the salty old H red cavalier

It's a complete fantasy, most criminals (pimps included) wouldn't be so stupid to draw attention to themselves.
Look at the mafia, everytime someone is arrested it's usually a fat, ugly middle aged bloke, not the powerful attractive Hollywood stereotypes.
The media creates the glamour image.

When i was in Vegas last year we made friends with a drug dealing gangster pimp who drove a taxi by day but a spanking new Benz E55 AMG with 20" wheels and windows as black as the paintwork by night. So yeah, somtimes they do.

I know a guy who's a genuine pimp and he's very low key. Has a couple of part time jobs to look legit, has a very well kitted out flat in a very normal area and drives a very ordinary car. He says that once he's made enough, he'll move abroad and live a "pimp" lifestyle.

The guy I buy a lot of my car parts from does a lot of business with 'gangsta' types from Manchester. He reckons it's mainly the ****** & wannabes that drive round in the pimped up motors (Impreza's in the main now), they're always keen to be getting the latest bit of bling and will pay his deliberately inflated mark-up without question The real dude's he reckons are generally more low-key, and currently have a penchant for quick, stock looking legacy's, preferably wagons, in dark colours, coz they've got the go of the Impreza when needed, but the rozzers generally don't look twice at them

I remember that!
A bright yellow porsche turbo really blends in....
If my memory is correct they used a rover v8, a skyline GTR and something else...might have been a cosworth?
All with a subtle orbital sticker on the back somewhere.
Maybe they didnt have enough fibresmash to feature that month and hashed together this stuff. Just read like a load of cobblers to me.
