New guy
Hi all,
I'm Jeff from N.London and recently bought a lovely new STI. I've been a member of lots of car clubs for models I've previously owned and thoought it would be great to join up with a Subaru board.
I notice you don't have a gay section here so I'd like to start one up if there's enough interest. It's great to meet other guys with a similar interest in cars for a few beers and laughs. I know some people might be a bit worried about outing themselves on a board, if so PM me and we'll try to get a meet together, discretion assured! Nothing too heavy just a drink or two and maybe some underbonnet action!

Welcome, unfortunately as you have already noticed we dont have a section of scoobynet dedicated to homosexuals. Neither, as far as I'm concerned should we. After all do you expect us to have a section for all minority groups.

Hi Chip,
A gay section would be great for organising meets etc. I notice there are plenty of subforums for photographers and such. Surely it's not too much to ask for a section where like minded guys and girls can get together? Perhaps in the regional section.
Lightning I didn't get the PM but as you're out we can discuss it on board, that way we can more people involved.

Perhaps we could turn this thread into one that's used for suggestions of new Scoobynet Sections?
I'd like to propose one for all lovers of Branston Pickle

I'm sure if you can rally up enough support for a new sub-forum for the use of the gay and lesbian users of the board then the webbie may consider it. You may well in the meantime get some rather coarse responses as this is essentially a motoring forum rather than a sexuality based one. Likewise meets are more to drive and talk about cars than for sexual encounters.

Jeff,
Not a bad first post this, albeit a little controversial though I am shocked to see that someone wants a Branston pickle section. Maybe he wants a pickle party

Hi Olly,
My idea of organising a meet was to get together with like minded guys and gals and talk about cars as well. I don't know where you got the idea about sexual encounters but GAME ON anyway. If enough people get involved then there may be scope for setting up a Gay Subaru Car Club GB.
I'm not really seeing the branston pickle forum as something that informs and shapes your lifestyle or one that is as widespread as being gay molie but surely such a section can only add to the appeal of the board.

Hi JeffssssS
The smell of testosterone can be a bit overwhelming in here sometimes, can't it?
Ignore them all. They have a hard time addressing any sexuality Welcome btw - hope you have a lovely time in here

I've got gold wheels on my car lightning but I don't see what the colour of your alloys has to do with coming to a meet.
Another idea I had was to come along to some regional meets and gauge interest in person. When I had an MGTF there were lots of friendly folk over on the MGR board who I met. Great people and they even have a gay friendly section over on the board. Shame the car wasn't so good!

I like the smell of testosterone so no problem there. Most people here seem to be pretty open minded which has to be a good thing. Just waiting for some juicy PM's now.
