Thumbs up Doctor Who

Fookin' brilliant. Gutted it's over. It won't be the same without Eccles cake I reckon, I just don't see how Tenants Extra can follow in his shoes.

Oh well

Simon.

Spot on, reckon Mr. Ecclestone might have made a mistake leaving it now. I'll still be leaping out of my car with a pen and piece of paper if i spot him in Manchester though!!!

Thumbs up

Great series and a shame he is not going to continue. He was/is the best Doctor so far maybe with the exception of Jon Pertwee.

I missed it yesterday so caught it on 3 tonight. Stunning. This series has got to be better than anything that went before. Wifey loved it too and she's not a sci-fi buff.

It occured to me that Ecclestone could come back, time is relative.

Absolutely. I'll be the first to admit that previous to this series, Doctor Who bored me a little, but I've been glued to the telly for every episode of this series. Great writing, strong acting (especially from Ecclestone, but ever Billy Piper can act well; amazing!), great sets and special effects and some cool twists in the unpredictable story lines. Couldn't have asked for anything more. This is what the BBC is good for.

Yea is was a fantastic episode. I sure we will miss CHris as his roll as the Doctor, lets hope that Tenant can give it the same sort of passion as Chris did.

Saturdays won't be the same again ...

...oh well...roll on Chrimbo

It's just so well done, with great acting, writing and effects.

Who else mouthed the word "EX-TER-MIN-ATE" when those daleks were hovering outside the window of the space-station?

Capt. Jack - Can't wait for him to come back into it at some point. I still reckon the end of the episodes with the Gas Masks would have been perfect if he'd cut-in to dance with the Doctor instead of Rose!

Looking forward to some multi-time Doctor crossovers. (McGann, McCoy, Ecclestone, Tennant)

Can we start having less of an earth-based bias to some of the new stories, please?

Was fun in a kid like way to watch many of the series, lightly entertaining without taking it to seriously. Would have probably loved it if I was a kid though.

I saw what I presume was the first episode last night - the one with living plastic shop dummies etc.

It was a bit ridiculous, and even a bit annoying at the start, but I managed to last until the end of the programme. Actually wasn't too bad in the end.

Does the series improve from here on? More importantly, does Piper start wearing more, er...flattering outfits?

I think I best starting downloading it for a 2nd take. Watched 1 episode and found it to be utter drivel. Perhaps I caught a duff one judging by the level of response here.

The series does get better. The WW2 ones and the Dalek ones are my favourites.
