Default Music Festivals

Hey,
I missed out getting tickets for Glastonbury this year so am casting around for alternative festivals to make up for it - any ideas of any coming up soon? I live in London.

Thanks guys - actually I ended up trying to get tickets for the 02 Wireless festival last weekend as it looked pretty good - I even entered the 02 competition on their website as someone sent me a link - but no joy - looks like a good line up though. However I did see info on the site about Party in the Park - which may be my next port of call.

hows about Reading..? 3dayers sold out but still some for Sat & Sun.

I think party in the park has been handed over to Bob Geldof for Live 8 this year maybe wrong tho..

just got this from..
http://www.capitalfm.com/Article.asp?id=88511
Capital and Live 8
For the last eight years Capital has put on the biggest one day summer concert in Britain, Party in the Park, but this year Bob called Capital to ask if he could borrow our Hyde Park stage to put on a massive event to support the Make Poverty History campaign.

Sir Bob spoke to Richard Bacon about the gig and thanked Capital. Listen to the interview here.

I'm doing the glade festival this year.
You can stick your guitar bands and suicide music up your ****, this is 4 days of techno, Breakcore, Psytrance and house for 87 quid. Tickets are sold out, but the they are being sold on the glade festival forum and they wont rip you off either.
Should be excellent.

Cool

Here you go. Guilfest 2005. Half hour on the train from London. Three day event with camping allowed. Several stages, reasonable line up and not too expensive.

And, most important - it's not sold out yet. Sounds ideal.

Glade is a decent dance festival mate. Sod all this commercial nonsense, 2005 is all about going to festivals where you havent heard of 90% of the lineup!
