Neighbour throwing hedge trimmings on my garden!

I have a bit of a problem with my next door neighbour. On my front garden there is a selection of hedge/bushes (small stuff, now more than 5 ft high, the bit in question is only 2 ft high!) that seperate my garden from her concrete drive way, when it gets a bit long she trims it then throws all the trimmings on my garden instead of in her bin!!
Now apart from being bloody rude and down right lazy, I am sure that this is against the law as it is on her side of the property and she is littering by doing what she is doing and this isnt the first time she has done it either.
Can anybody point me to website that shows where the law deals with this kind of thing so I can print it off and show her she is in the wrong.
If she had come round and asked me to trim the then I would of happily done it for her but she is takin the pee and can **** off now.
Cheers,
Neil.

If it's her hedge, she's littering.
If it's your hedge, she's acting precisely as the law dictates, so you'd look pretty stupid complaining. If she kept the clippings it would be theft.

I havent gone round there asking what she is playing at yet, I wanted to check out the legal side first to see if I had a strong case to tell her to stop it or not. When I do go round I can see her just saying, not my hedge blah blah blah tough tittys pal!!
It would appear as thought she is in the right even though its down right rude of her, why can she not just put it in her bin instead of my gardern? Its not even that much to put in the bin, wouldnt even fill a plastic bag.

As stated above, she is not only within her rights, but obliged to return the clippings by law as they belong to you.
The appropriate course of action would be for you to keep your hedge trimmed (obviously asking her permission to stand on her property while you do so).

These days the law is normally interpreted as meaning that you should "offer" the hedge timmings back to their owner, rather than just tossing them into their garden. Imagine if people did this with large trees that overhang - you could come back from work and find you garden entirely filled up with branches and timber.

Sounds as though she is doing you a favour by clipping your hedge for you, quite reasonable to expect you to get rid of your owh hedge's clippings surely. Very polite of Olly to got that one step further but not many would do that these days. It does encourage good relations with the neighbours though, must be worth something!

You could just have a chat, thank her for cutting the hedge and let her know that you're not precious about the clippings and are quite happy for her to take them away.
Might do the trick

I did chuck the branches I cut off our neigbours trees back. He was a right ar$e when POC and Rich were putting up the fence so I thought I'd return his property ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Anyway, he should be pleased we put up such a huge fence otherwise there'd be a damn sight more being given back!!

I have to admit, I've been guilty of this many times in my younger days.
