People driving whilst holding their camera out the window to take piccies of other stupid people

Just jesting

Still I hate the 1" front the steering wheel women - totally focused on what is infront rather than around them.....bet they'd love to get an airbag full on in their face

thats a point...here's a interesting tail... I was working in Brussels last week, and speaking to the guy where i was working... "Coca Cola Brussels" he told me about an accident that happend in the car park the thursday before.
They have electronic barriers on site, the ones that come out of the ground, a girl was moving her car a 3 series estate into the overflow car park, for some reason handn't seen the large red stop light as the post came out of the floor and drove into it! it stopped the car dead and lifted it of the ground, she was doing about 10-15mph and not wearing a belt, problem was she slid forward and hit the wheel just as the airbag triggered, this unfortunalty broke her neck! rather sad really, but just goes to show airbags are desiged to work with seatbelts!
Apparently she's not parralised, very very lucky, but will be hospitalised with a plate in her neck for a few months... NOT Good!

Quite, I never get away with parking on double yellows
I amazes me that parents who mistakingly think that SUVs are inherently safe fly around at school run time, kids loose in the back, driving like idiots, through 20 mph school zones at 40.
Some people are just to busy to care. I cycle 2000 miles a year commuting, and am constantly appalled at driving standards (mind you I can't help watching people drive since I trained as a instructor a couple of years ago). People look, see you coming, and just decide to pull out anyway - making a concious decision to risk my life. Don't know how they justify it. Mind you, traffic being what it is in York, I often catch them up at the next queue...

Angry

Dazza

I could not agree more. I hate to see this, imagine how they would feel if their kid was injured or worse due to their stupidity.

We have less traffic cops and more cameras to make us safe however unless speeding this sort of offence is not going to get picked up on - Government are t*ssers!

Got to agree with everyones comments here about parents who don't put their kids in seat belts , ******* to$$ers the lot of them. People like this who go around with total disregard for theirs kids safety should all have their kids taken away from them, watch them scream to get them back because they LOVE them sooooo much. Makes me bloody angry

Rant over

you would need to be careful about what you publish on the net m8. ECHR grants people the "right to privacy" and what you have done could be construed as collateral intrusion. i know it is unlikely that the said women driver or the girl hanging out the window will ever see these pictures but scoobynet is a rather large forum and someone might know her. also if my car was posted up with a number plate i would not be to happy. i am surprised the mods on here have not said something.

i don't want to come over all officious but you need to be careful as the woman probably has the right to take a personal writ against you for invasion of privacy for which you would be liable for ALL costs.

second picture absolutely no probs. it identifies no one and has no number plate.

cheers

sinky

But if you asked these parents if they love their kids they will always say yes... But they clearly dont give a flying **** about them if theyre not strapping them in.

Abdabz - Once on Jimmy Savilles "Play It Safe" programme because in 1979 (I was 5 and my bro was 2) my mum skidded on diesel into a stone wall at 60mph and but for the fact we were all wearing seat belts it wouldnt have only been the vauxhall shove it that was a write off .

Ow's about that then?

When i'm in the car with my kids the first thing i do is check to make sure there seat belts are on, sometimes when driving i see other people in cars with kids and the kids are either sitting wrong way round looking out of the back window or sitting between the two front seats, every time i see this it reminds me of that advert where the young lads sitting in the back seat eating a pizza without a seatbelt then you can imagine what happens next.

Where is the responsibility of the parents, if something was to happen and the child was killed, could they live with the guilt, i know i couldn't.

read in the paper the other day some stupid women drove into a tree after hitting another car, no insurance or anything... anyhow she killed her baby as she wasn't fastened in to the car seat correct nor was the car seat fitted o the car... result 6 month prison

the thing is!
  1. Not enogh police officers in cars
  2. not enough deterant
It should be a 6 point offence and heavy fine for not securing shildrin in a car... minimum!
Caught twice and a 6 month ban would certainly get these thickos attention
Along with doing over 40 in a 30... that should be a 9 point offence....
Just seen some dick in a korrean coupe thing doing about 50 down leeds road, toward a BIG sign that lights up and says "School 30" if your doing over 30mph! WTF is wrong with these people!
just makes me sick and the sicking thing is......... its getting worse not better! AGGggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Anyhow I'll be carrying the little cam on the dash, can do 3 mins of video too so i'll be having a bit of fun!

Think I'd hang out the window with a dog that size breathing down my neck

Still, you do see it a lot. Just seems so irresponsible.

Another thing along the same lines - I was at a certain Safari Park the other day, and was observing various people in the cars. Signs everywhere saying 'keep windows and doors locked', and still, even in the Lion and Tiger enclosures, there was a Shogun with both parents hanging out of the driver's window, and two kids standing up out of the sunroof.....

What a bunch of bloody idiots, I thought. Maybe you'd consider opening the window in the antelope part, but not with lions ffs...

it is really annoying to see the kids not strapped in. but if you look the parents have almost always got their seatbelts on so i can't understand what goes through their minds. to me my kids safety always comes first.

thanks
