I've got loads of the US visa forms but the form was recently changed so they are now useless.
I'd say take a pen and do it on the plane. I'm usually looking for something to do anyway.

I wouldn't have thought so but then it's been quite a while since I was living in the UK. I travelled to Thailand and the USA last year and got the visa forms from the consulates (well, the admin staff did). I went back to the States this year and the amount of paperwork was about double that of last year...again, all the forms were provided by the consulate. I was glad to have had the visa beforehand as going through US Immigration isn't exactly a quick process.

I would try a search on Google for the country you are going on holiday to and add in the words Travel Visa Application -- you might be able to get a list of the consulates in the UK with a telephone number and certainly information as to the documentation you need to provide (photos, travel dates, cost of visa) etc. Once you've got that, give the consulate a call and have them send the forms out to you.

Try a google search on "immigration forms" and the country name. Or have a look at www.immigration.com
