You'll see when you get there ... thats not being rude, its just true.
You can get excellent views all over the place - the Rally Stage is up the top of the hill in the woods and anywhere along its length is good for views.
There are grandstands without seats which are very good and free.
It was a nightmare to get out of the car parks last night - but, that could have been due to the downpour and mayhem on the roads?
Enjoy it, it's great!!

Get there early - Car park opens at 6:00 (not 6:30 as it says in some places). Early morning is the best time to walk round the paddock and get some photos - if that's your thing. The amount of people makes it impossible later on.
The rally stage is worth a visit - use the tractor service to get a ride upto the top of the hill. Having grandstand tickets is a nice option as you can come and go as you please and still have a good view. You have a choice really - you can setup camp in a particular spot and stay there or just walk around. Most people seem to move around, so gaps in the crowd do appear. The public grandstand / viewing areas get busy very early though.
Getting out wasn't too bad this evening, although I did leave at 5:00 PM (having been there since 6:30 AM, I was starting to get a bit tired). Your choice is either to leave early, or stay right to the end and then do another walk about. If the weather is OK, I would recommend staying around for a while. I've done this on a few occassions. It's great to soak up the atmosphere of the place and beats sitting in a queue of traffic.

Goota be a quick post as i'm working, but fan-bloody-tastic!
Camped out all day infront of the house, got choked with F1 tyre smoke, deafened by noise, and sun burnt to buggery. And loved every minute of it.

£42 for nearly 12 hours of entertainment sounds pretty good value to me. Go and ask the spectators at the US GP how much they paid!

Went on the Sunday and it was fantastic - first time Ive been, but even better than expected. F1 cars put on a great display - especially Liuzzi in the Red Bull on his final run! Even had that 'Babs' world record holding car that crashed on Pendine sands long ago, and has since been dug-up and rebuilt.
Air Display by a 747 was pretty impressive - not something you expect to see!

Yep the 747 was extremely cool
The Tornado turning up Sunday was also a big and unexpected bonus (it had to cancel Saturday due to the weather) ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I like the high price, it keeps the rif-raff out
