Default Pressure Washer

Hello

Woolworths currently have an RAC pressure washer on sale for £59.99 (here (although out of stock on the website): http://www.woolworths.co.uk/wwstore/...047&op=details). Does anyone have one?

Any other recommendations for a simliarly spec'd product?

Thanks,

Steve

if i was buying one in that price range, i would try to buy one i knew i could get parts for?

unless your happy to write it off when it breaks
the one i use for work cost me £545 and i got it for trade price
its only used on 1/4 power

a mates broke down and he bought 2 cheap preasure washers in one weekend while he had his main one fixed

managed 1 days use from them both, but to be fair, they were put under extreme use
i have a small karcher style one that was bought for me years ago, not sure on the specs, but i have never had a problem with it, but to be fair, it has not had much use over the years?

I got a cheap Karcher one from B&Q for less than that. It's OK for washing the cars and even shifts the crap off the patio but it's not powerful enough for serious stuff (like MX bikes etc.)

Hello

Well, I hope that it will last for more than a year, but less than that and it's covered under guarantee. And the nice thing about buying it from Woolworths is that they are good at exchanging / refunding things.

I only want it to cleans cars, driveway, gutters that kind of thing. So not too strenuous.

The Karcher one I bought is here for only £50. Same power etc. but doesn't have the rotary brush and is a well known brand that you can get parts for.

I paid 27.99 for a cheapy one from B and Q and its doing a sterling job, plenty powerful enough for anything I will ever do and if it breaks it goes in the bin which would probably be the case with a dearer one as usually getting spares/repairs costs more than a new one.

That one looks remarkably similar to the one I bought a year ago, branded Kinzo which appears to be a Dutch budget manufacturer of power tools. It was plenty powerful enough but died when one of the ribs split on the lance, causing an irreparable leak. As it cost me 40 quid new, I really couldn't be bothered to chase up a spare lance - it should still be under guarantee but I lost the receipt.

Bought a horrifically expensive Karcher which was great up until this weekend when I tried to use it and found the handle leaking badly. Have to take that for repair now

I've tried the Karcher thing for washing the car. It's good at getting salt and mud off, but the finish off it is crap.

By all means use it for getting all the sh*te off but then wash the motor as usual.

They are good for path cleaning though.

Hello

I bought the Woolworth's one yesterday afternoon, cleaned the car and one of the paths. It leaked all over the place, and the two brushes both broke.

I have just got my money back.

When you get a Pressure washer, you wander round looking for things to blast with it, anything, if it moves blast it, if it doesnt blast it until it does.

I went through a phase of buying cheap power washers, they lasted about 6 months then were returned ..... ok, I got a new one every 6 months - but it just pisses you off.

Bought a Karcher about 6 years ago, one fault developed and helped out by Huxleys mate, other than that - nothing.

Buy quality ............ it's taken me years to realise this, but quality costs and it's nearly always worth it!

I just had a part break on my Karcher 503 , and they where great , emailed me a diagram of the washer and asked me to point the part out , I did this and ordered over the phone ( £2.88 ) and it arrived next day . top stuff

Although getting the thing apart and back together is another story
