Thumbs down Sideways - The Worst Film Ever ?

Rented this out last night - what an utter pile of cack.

I can't believe it got nominated for 5 Academy Awards

Only had one LOL moment that I can remember - the scene on the golf course (not even that funny !)

Avoid at all costs !

I rented Creep out last night - no horror movie has ever been so poor ever ever ever... A complete waste of 80 something minutes of my woeful life!
Acting straight out of a primary school nativity play, a story so flawed it must have been written by an illiterate carpet mite.... Do Blockbuster do refunds?

Hmmm that confirms why I avoided it like the plague.

We rented that american puppet thing last night...... some very sordid sex scenes and loads of plastic gore
And National Treasure... light-hearted crap type escapism stuff.

Try watching Portrait Of A Lady and then Gosford Park and you will then know the true meaning of utter sh1te !

Just watching creep now and seems a little weak but OK so far

"RPM" starring David Arquette surely claims the title of the worst film ever.

Yeah....stupid making a film when everyone knows the ending already, precisely why I didn't go see it !

You're having a laugh, right?

Gosford Park is a stunner - great performances, direction, and script. Movie-making doesn't really get much better.

There was one film with Vanilla Ice in that I had to switch off after about five minutes, as I felt the urge to self-harm.

I think no 'worst film of all time' list can pass without a mention of Torque......

Now THAT is a seriously **** film.....

Sideways is along the same lines as Lost in Translation and the Life Aquatic, clearly to high brow and arty farty for the general public but those who consider themselves a film critic rave about them ....**** OFF, THEY ARE ****E !!

Sideways was a good film IMO. Not "the best film ever" but it was certainly better than most of the hollywood nonsense that passes for entertainment.

Was going to ask what was wrong with it myself. I've read the book and really fancied watching the film.

Think I will now just to see.

Love Actually has to be up there as one of the worst films ever made, surely?

I caught ten minutes of that one Saturday, utter drivel, then I saw some biker chick that made me dribble so watched it for her.

No-one mentioned Charlies Angels yet? I managed 6 mins before switcing it off - anyone managed 7 or do I hold the record?

Traffic is also a pile of pants. along with Conspiracy Theory & Mrs Doubtfire.

<flame suit on>
only managed 15 mins of The Exorcist before switching that off - I thought it was just an Iraqi Archaelogy Info-movie...

I've not seen Sideways, but am tempted to.

As for The Life Aquatic, I found it quite funny, how can you not laugh at the Jaguar Shark? Lost in translation was a little odd, and a bit slow paced but I did enjoy it.

Traffic is ok, but I prefer the original british tv series it was based on.

As for my worst films, hmm, well Bad Leuitenant is pretty high on the list, along with Gerry, which is just plain odd.

I have just watched Lost In Translation and really enjoyed it. I'm not 'high brow' either! I want to watch it again now.

Other than Consiracy Theory, which I quite liked, I'm in full agreement with you. I may well have managed even less time than you with CE - sh1te doesn't begin to describe it.

The worst film I can recall was Meet The Fockers, the premiere of which I regret to say I attended. Total carp in every way. Mind you, I though American Pie was tremendously unfully, and I loved Lost In Translation, so maybe it's me that's way out of step with public tastes.

.....said it before, and I'll say it again - "Torque" takes the biscuit.

Total and utter ballocks..............
