Think I'll stop criticising the American military...
...as this has just parked outside my house

(OK, I say outside my house - probably btwn 2-3km away out in the estuary, but almost visible from the balcony.)

Is it just the carrier in port, or is half the support fleet in with it? Coz that'll make it nearer 15,000 crewcuts looking for a fight

CrisP, I hope not. I've only seen one destroyer/frigate nearby - OMG, it looked like an Airfix toy it was that small in comparison
Have to look closely tonight, I want to see if it has the Spaceballs sticker on the stern "WE BRAKE FOR NOBODY"

Reserve judgement till you see the crew. Everytime I have been to Fremantle in Australia, one of these has parked up, and the town gets overrun with overweight ganksta rapper wannabees.

yeah - stay away from them !!
made the mistake when living in Gibraltar of inviting a few US sailors back to a shared flat for a few beers when the 7th fleet was visiting Gib.
The flat was shared with a couple of other Brits and 3 American girls.
After the fleet left we all got pulled in by the cops and questioned about the visit of the sailors to the flat.
the story doing the rounds was that we were running a brothel !!!
