The new Ricky Gervais thing.

Well, I think that may be a grower, usually takes a couple of episodes to get into a new series but it does seem to have the potential to be great, some really good one liners in it and Ben Stiller was really good, I think there is some kind of Hollywood kudos for actors when they do the quirky little British comedy, they want to be a part of something like the Office, Little Britain or The League of Gentlemen as it offers something that Hollywood cant do, ground breaking comedy as they have to pander to the mainstream, i.e. about 99% of americans.

That line about Starsky and Hutch was class, something like......

Gervais: Which were you, Starsy or Hutch I cant remember ?

Stiller: Was that meant to be funny.

Gervais: I dont know, you tell me, you were in it.

I suppose it follows on from Johnny Depp in the Fast Show doing 'suits you' and even Brad Pitt pulling of the 'Pikey' in ******.

The Ben Stiller rant was classic.

"It still counts! I actually did it!"

After missing the middle bit I remembered we've got Sky+ so I could've paused it during the phone call, dur

LOL Sal - technology is great isn't it? I've just sat and watched it and enjoyed it. As J4CKO said - it's a grower. You can see the 'Office' type of humour running through it. It's a bit more subtle than a lot of comedy, but still very good. There were bits that made me laugh out loud - especially the bloke with different length legs in the nightclub

The guy with the orthopaedic shoe ?

Classic comment along the lines of "looks like it would fit Herman Munster"

Never liked The Office, but thought Extras was very funny tonight.

Also enjoyed the Catherine Tate thing, old woman with the broken TV was excellent

I was not that impressed but give it time for us to get used to the characters I suppose.

Catherine Tate is good.

But you've now remembered you've got it? So surely you can watch it now? Or were sky lying? And you have to record stuff, so it's much like just buying a video recorder, anyone that bought sky+ got bent over and fuc.....
