LONDON, July 22 (Reuters) - Police shot a suspected suicide bomber in an underground train station in south London, Britain's Sky television reported on Friday, citing police sources.
Sky said the man was shot while he was trying to board a train on Friday.

This is getting ridiculous. Yesterday I had to pick my wife up from North London to get her home and now this. Do they not realise that they are going to end up pissing off the entire population which will have the opposite effect to the one they are trying to achieve?

The copper was twitchy and missed where he was aiming at
They wanted to make sure he was dead in case the rucksack contained his lunch and a tent.

according to bbc 24 they had an eyewitness who was on the train reading the paper when a man ran onto the train pursued by plain clothed officer who shot the guy.

If the suspect is confirmed to be a suicide bomber, it would mark the fifth attempted terrorist attack on London in less than a day.

It wasnt a 'hell of a shot'; I think they just kept shooting until they ran out of bullets. Reminds me of the Gibraltar inquirey; 'Soldier A, why did you shoot xxxxxx 14 times?': 'because I ran out of bullets'.
