Default London Transport Options (not bomb related!)

We're flying out on Holiday from Gatwick in about a months time, although this muppet has booked a holtel near to Euston station for 2 days beforehand.

There is the Gatwick express which runs into Victora station so what I want to know is what's the best or easiest way to get from Euston to Victoria when carting 2 suitcases?

Prefer as few changes as possible if going on the tube - but how much would a taxi cost roughly?

Cheers.

If out of rush hour, use the tube. The Victoria line goes straight from Euston to Victoria.
If in rush hour, well, don't bother. Tube will be too busy and so will roads.
Try leaving before or after rush hour(s) is best advice I'll give.
Use back of tube as often there's less passengers so better chance of getting your luggage on.

Or Taxi to Kings Cross Thameslink, for about £5, and Thameslink train to Gatwick, which is cheaper than the Gatwick Express, though not as plush, but it will get you there all the same. Probably quicker and easier than going to Victoria too.
