Default Origin B2 laser paranoid?

Just fitted an Origin B2 to my everyday run around (Focus) and it's a top piece of kit.

The only problem is the laser detector goes off all the time. On my 30 minute drive to work this morning it must have went off for about 10 - 15 minutes intermittently. Either I'm being stalked by 5-O or somethings wrong.

At first I thought it might be something to do with the heated windscreen in the Ford (it will be going in the Scoob too) so I covered up the sensor but that made no difference.

Has anyone else had the same problem and can offer some advise as it's driving me mental already?

Cheers

Hello

If you have the radar detector fitted it tends to pick up security systems in shops and buildings.

is it plugged in to the *** lighter or hard wired in?

You need a ferret collar from Maplins on the power cable.

Our Bel used to give laser alerts when we were near bridges. Never a radar trap around either. Somebody said it was something to do with the height of them - don't know how true this is

*** lighter for the mo but will be hard wired soon. Was going to get a ferrite collar just in case but wouldn't have thought that a Focus would have caused power surges as it's a pretty basic setup.

I have the origin b2 - the laser goes off when I travel around Bournemouth Airport usually. Unfortunately, it never went off when the traffic cop pointed his laser gun at me

The laser has never gone off in mine, and it's plugged into the lighter socket.

I've had a B2 for about 10 months now. Only got the laser add on. It always seems to go off around the Heathrow junction on the M25 clockwise in the same place. The only other time it ever went off was driving passed some military airport around Cornwall. Apart from that i've never had any problems with false alarms. My unit is hard wired in if that makes any difference.

It makes no difference for the laser - simply, it doesn't do what it says on the tin I have it from adequate sources in the traffic police to bring that hard fact to you

Right, stopped in at Maplins on my home last night. Bought 2 ferrite collars. The first one I put the power lead through 3 times and the second one I passed the thicker combined cable through.

Its still the same.

There might be a slight improvement but still seems to trigger whenever I'm on the gas. I don't mean thrashing away from the light's either (it's a 1.6 for gawd's sake), just pulling away is enough to set it off. Think I'll be speaking to Origin first thing Monday morning unless anyone can suggest anything.
