My neighbour reckons spray on some hairspray on your number plate and it is reflective - i.e speed cameras do not see your number plate?
Apparently a web site was selling a can for £30 each and the media highlighted what it was.
Anyone know if it works!!!
He said just cut out a cardboard sorround so you dont get it on the car and spray away!!!

- Then tell us the result![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
What I have seen - whcih "could" work is a deep mesh placed over the number plate (about 1/2" thick - like that of a grill on a bentley - not your chav racer
) looking staright at it you can see plate perfectly, but at an angle from above or to the side you can't.

The sprays you do get actually work.
However it is very risky doing it as if a police car was behind you, he'd be able to tell straight away! On his screen he would see a car with a blank number plate but using his sight he sees the registration!
Very easy for them to catch you!

Wonder how you come to the conclusion on this one ??
the spray is used to help prevent the flash from a gatso camera over expose the processed picture, so how it would prevent the following police car from seeing the reg plate on there in car screen is beyond me ??!!
the old anti flash plates that are suddenly not so popular ??!! no doubt due to the fact they just dont work !! were noticable in the headlights off a following car due to the way they were made up.
have the photoblocker spray on my car plates and have had for a good while now and in my eyes there is no differnce whatesover in terms off differnce in looks off the plates, ie. between treated plates and untreated plates. treated plates on very close inspecting have a glossier appearence if anything.
okay have heard all the stories on hear and elswhere on the net off ""no it does not work"" but have yet to have it proven that the spray deffinatly does not work and yet there website if full off testimonials from world press , radio , tv etc, etc all some with positive results and yet none with negative results !!
as the anti flash plates that I mentioned earlier were soon proven to not work then the plates were soon not so popular once word got around and now that the anti flash spray has been around for a few years feel sure that the critics would have soon spread there word off "" no it does not work I still received a ticket even with my plates sprayed with the stuff - waste off money "" !!! but again have yet to hear off anyone who has had a ticket despite having there plates sprayed !!!
at the end off the day the spray is on the plates, is cheap enough to buy and should it help prevent a ticket from a gatso then is money saved !!!
suppose as gatso cameras are becomming yesterdays enemy in terms off speed enforcment then sprays like " photobloecker " will soon die out due to the fact that it is off no use whatsover from spec cameras , laser etc etc !!
but guess as there are still over 4500 uk fixed gatso cameras then suppose it still had its use just now anyway.

just out of interest, what are those cameras that look like gatsos, but have two circular purple lenses?
they have them on the A14..and they seem to be positioned at a funny angle?

Jono i have actually seen evidence of this mate!
It was on traffic cops not so long ago and the car was pulled over!
The camera could not pick up the number plate but the human eye could! Now dont ask me how this works as i dont have a clue! Just stating what was shown on traffic cops!
