Default People Chewing gum socially ucceptable??

people chewing gum, urgh

if theres one thing that really winds me up its this

what is it with people who think its acceptable to talk to you whilst chewing a gob full of rubber...

why?? we get reps come in and in, and its chew yak, chew yak..

jeeez it really winds me up, if i get a rep come round now and hes chewing gum, his chances of a sale are 0

dont they understand that people want to deal with someone who gives them attention, not spends more energy chwing crap.. if they spent the energy they spent chewing into there job !!!

is it me or do you find people who chew a no no

Not exactly plesent but each to their own....
What is unacceptable is its disposal ....ie Bus stops/you name it - pavements anyway , littered with it...

I had a customer the other day who was chewing gum. Came in after a boat, with his 3 daughters and wife, and mostly for that reason, really pissed me off. just stood there munching away as if his life depended on it, and struck me as being completely lacking in any sort of character or interest in what he did....

FFS! What you gonna do, add it to the NL ban list?

Please add perfume / aftershave to the list as the overpowering stench of "eau de harpie" as people go by is far from appealing, at least gum leaves the room with the chewer.

I love it.... Gum is nice.... When I was at college, there was this lad in my year with Bon Jovi esque hair who all the girls fancied. I thought he was a bit of a n0b so upon releasing all the flavour from my juicy fruit, I placed the gum in the middle of his flowing locks.
He instinctively patted the juicy fruit further into his swede (probably thinking it was an insect) thus matting his hair in my saliva and gum.
He cried (he was 16) and went to the head of the sixth form. His hair was cut short and non-girly and I was suspended for a week...
So in short gum not only makes your breath fresh but it also stops hippies in their tracks and gets folk free time off college

Abdabz sounds more socially unacceptable than chewing gum with stunts like that

Gum, hmmmmm, hardly a biggie is it? Sticking it on the underside of tables or flicking it on the floor is socially unacceptable but chewing it? Get a grip. It's minging when there's a gob like a cement mixer going off in your face but that's about poor manners not chewing gum.

Chewing gum - socially unacceptable? NO
Poor manners - socially unacceptable? YES
Sticking gum in someone's hair because you're an ugly jealous bloke who can't get laid - socially unacceptable? DEFINITELY

Having to watch somone open their mouth with a gob full of food / gum is just plain gross.

I'm sure there is a link between chewing with your mouth open and low IQ

In Stevenage they have gum boards. Finished with your gum ? Stick on the board. It works. Not much on the deck round there.

WTF is a gum board??!

As for chewing gum - each to their own, and I like the stuff... but don't litter it and don't chew gum when talking to people.
