Urgh, my head is still pounding
Watched "Extra's" on the telly, then popped down an old local to meet a mate. Arrived at quarter to 10 expecting a couple of pints then back home.
Only us 2 and another 4 in the pub too, a cheeky ask at 11.20 results in us staying till 1.30![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Nearly the weekend, think I'll just make it...
I love a good lock-in, ban 24 hour pubs I say![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

My local when I was a kid used to turn the lights off by the curtains, lock the doors and who was in stayed in. It was always deemed acceptable as the biggest pxss head out of the lot was the village bobby. Many a time I have had breaky at 6am in the pub having drunk myself sober.
I agree this will be a sorely missed institution.

I used to frequent a place that had lock-ins. During one of them, I asked the landlady if she was worried about the police discovering these lock-ins. She replied that half the people drinking with me were coppers, so no, not desperately worried.

The pub Little Miss WRX used to live next to was the same. Small village in the sticks and popular with people from CID. I staggered out of there a few times at some small hour <hic>

Our local does this, locks the doors, curtains shut, local police couldn't care less anyway, as long as there's no trouble (extremely rare in our rural area)
I once tapped on the door to get let in at 12.10am, landlady let me in, my dad was sat in the corner with the local copper who lives over the road from us, so I thought fair play to the lad hahaha
