I AM REALLY PROUD :o)
My Daughter's hobby is Ballroom and Latin dancing.... today she had a competition up at Bracknell and so far in the 4 comps she has participated in she has only ever made either the 2nd or 3rd round.... today she made the finals in both the Waltz and the Cha Cha Cha
Not only did she make the finals she came 3rd and 2nd respectively Also made 2nd place in the couples Jive and 5th in the Couples Waltz.
This is Lottie dancing the 3rd place Waltz and the runner-up Cha Cha Cha
Sorry, just had to shout about it

SG My wife has a few medals for latin /ballroom/oldtime dancing inculding gold/silver and bronze, she had been doing it for 10 years till she met me at 15, then it went out of the window well done to your daughter, my wife says keep it up she could be a champ one day, If I'm being honest she was brilliant and I don't why she gave it up, because she was so good, she made me very proud
Cheers

well done to her, excellent achievement
Used to do ball room dancing myself when I was younger, but dropped it in favour of karate then dropped that in favour of girls and drinking Then dropped that lot in favour of getting married

Sad that we all give up the things we loved isn't it I used to be a damn good gymnast but gave up.
As for the ballroom dancing, she is following in the footsteps of her two cousins... Bianca was a British Champion and Danielle is moving up the ''charts'' pretty quick now
Julian Clarey, move over

Very cheap effort at humour to infer a bloke is gay because he likes ballroom dancing. Its an extremely skilled occupation and used to be very widely practised by most men in this country and they definitely were not "shirtlifters"!
The whole object was to have an excuse to chat a nice looking girl up anyway. Bit like going ice skating at Richmond Ice Rink as PSL and I well remember.

Good effort, nice to see that she has something not only keeps her fit and active but occupied and diciplined as well, you should be proud.
After some of the other posts on here about young 'un abuse and disrespect to others and their property this is a refreshing change.
Mind you, have to agree about the hairdresser though

Well done lottie, and Karen and Dan for bringing up one of two fantastic kids.
Neither the type to hang around on street corners gathering ASBO's but will go somewhere in life.
Big hugs for lottie from me and charlie.

It's only political bitterness Moses Thank you for your compliments.
I am in the midst of putting together a discussion forum as there isn't a good one on the net for UK ballroom/latin - I hope it will grow to be a great community. So, if you know anyone remotely interested please get them to pop in
