Got a Pucker nokia car kit fitted in the car,was fitted when i had my 6230..
Anyway,all was well till i got my 6230i upgrade...This wont work in the car kit.

Dont tell me the car kits are different for the upgraded model?

Any idea guys..?

Anyone had same prob?

Its the same base phone mate, should work no probs
I had a 6230 & upgraded to the 6230i & they both worked in my car kit which was installed to take my work 6100

I have the 6230i and I have only had it a week and mine works fine, i think its your phone or the setting in the phone need looking at

Thats what i thought..But it just says "enhancment not supported" when i put it in the cradle,thought it was phone faulty,so had a mate try his,we got the same story with his..
Its doin my head in...If i go to a mobile shop there just gonna try and slot me for £200,i can feel it in my water..

Have you checked the setting in the bit called Charger. Also the hands free bit.

Enhancment settings ------>

Charger ------->

Then choose your profile, but not sure if that will sort the problem out

Yea mate...did find that after twiddling about last night,it was on "current default".I have now changed it to general...Suppose i will see when i get in the car later!!

Any idea about the hands free bit? cant seem to find that at all..

My 6230 sometimes comes up as "enhancement not supported" in the nokia car kit, though other times it works fine.

So far, I've got it down as seeming to do it if I put the phone in the cradle too soon after starting the engine.

fair enough John,but it worked pretty much 100% with my old 6230,but this 6230i never works.Its says "charging" but it doesnt,and then immediately says "enhancement not supported"..

Not buying another car kit.I got the "i" version coz i thought there would be no trauma's like this!!.looks like im keepin my 6230...Unless anyone got any other suggestions??

The firmware in some 6230is is a bit hit and miss. Kate's is fine but mine occassionally goes mad and needs a reboot. I'll get round to doing something about one day.

Might be worth getting your phone looked at. Lots of 6230i stuff hereexpansys that might help.
