Internet grocery shopping

Just thought I'd let you know about my 1st grocery shop via the net.
I used asda.co.uk, no reason for this and I'd never shop there as I have an iceland, waitrose, tesco and sainsburys closer lol.
First thing I did was go to their buy one get one free section (BOGOF!!) and selected everything I might need, this totalled up to 16 quid odd with a 16 quid saving due to the BOGOF. I then did the rest of my shop and it came to just over £50. Went on to one of those discount voucher websites and got an evoucher to get £10 off if you spend over £50. So....total cost £52 - £16 BOGOF -£10 evoucher + £4.95 delivery came to 32 quid odd..not bad considering it will be delivered to my door.
Booked the 7 - 9 slot for tonight....half 8 and the guy was downstairs, went down and gave him a hand carrying the stuff up (he was on his own, would feel guilty just leaving him). Put it all outside my front door, he then hung around and was gonna take it inside!! I'm sure this is normal for the lazy b4stards out there but I mean come on, I'm sure I can cart it 5 meters to my kitchen!! so I said thats cool and to be honest I'd rather not have strangers snooping about my place!!
There were a few substitutes but nothing too different and my 6 eggs had 1 missing, not the end of the world. I had put together a varied list to test them, i.e loose fruit and veg, certain weights, the eggs, organic stuff e.t.c and they were spot on.
All in all my shop took me about 20mins, would normally take just under an hour, it was delivered to my door, was cheaper than actually going there due to a) the evoucher and b) all the special offers are grouped together, normally you would miss a fair few in the shop....and finally I didn't buy items I didn't really need, I normally always do this when out shopping.
Plus my shopping list is saved for next time so I can edit as I please and not miss things out like I normally do.
Will I use it again??? Hell yeah!! I'm a convert now.

KingRA, our not the only one mate. Me and the missus have been doing our food shoppping online for months now. We've used Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose to date. We usually spend about £60-70 when shopping on line. However, my missus has started a new diet and needs loads of fresh fuit and veg so we have been going to the local Tesco and Sainsburys for the last 2 weeks. First shop came to £140 and last weeks shop came to £120
and they didnt include any meat as I get it from the local butcher. Needless to say we will be going back to online shopping!!!

I'd really miss my weekly trek round Sainsburys, if I bought online I wouldn't be able to buy all the things that catch my eye that I don't need, like yesterday when I spent £30 on food and £40 on a handbag, jewellery and make-up ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Hmm, maybe shopping online would be a good thing for me..

Had good experiences with sainsburys and tescos..... sainsburys was by far the better one. far less substitutes and wrong orders, and also tend to get their earlier in the slot too.
Neither have ever really messed up either.

Be wary on the their prices though...was going to order some stuff from Asda just before Xmas last year but decided to visit the store instead and get some exercise. It turns out that the bottle of whiskey that I was going to pay £33 for online was only £29 in the actual shop!!!!

I've had a problem with the sell by dates, not good if you're doing a weekly shop and its all spent next day. Handy for the non fresh stuff though.
Tesco's were cheapest for 18 bottles of MOET for the wedding, including the usual online wine merchants.

Here's the voucher code:
Get another £10 discount off your shopping, when you spend £50 or more on groceries. It's almost a weekly event to receive codes to use with them lately.
Promotional Code: M4-1V-DD-65
Expiry: unknown
Where: Asda.Co.UK

Am moving into a house soon and as my g/f likes to trek round the whole shop and look at every item in the shop I might give this a try
Should save me years out of the rest of my life ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Yep - we use it for the Xmas shop, as I turn into the Tazmanian Devil's angrier/more evil alter-ego when Xmas food shopping
So we use it for this very reason - escape the mad hustle and bustle. A much more relaxing way to start the holiday![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I would do more of this sort of shopping if it were available out here in the sticks. Seems like the people who it would best serve...ie us village dwellers , are ignored by the online brigade. Only Sainsburys comes out here and they are a tad expensive.
