Timewasters when selling cars.
***Rant mode on***
Dont you just hate selling a car.
Had it up for sale for a while, had the usual interest...and almost sold it properly, 4 times...here's my tales...
1st time fell through. (was supposed to be a straight swap, but the other car turned out to be a bit of a bucket)
2nd time, the guy decided that he didn't like the colour, one day before we were due to to the deal.
3rd time, got as far as about to sign over the paperwork, and the guy turned round and said he only had 4k, not the 5 i was asking.
Then this one...all set to deliver the cash tonight...and he decided he doesnt want it.
I've now had tell the guy i was buying the Impreza from, that i cant go for it..(again)

Probably.
I'm more bothered about letting the Impreza owner down, than i am about not selling.
He's been more than understanding, but i think he'll not like me one little bit now.
I'd even booked my flight to go get the car on friday.

Some buyers are strange...
Think the worst has been the one that said he didn't like the colour.
Like i changed it from when he first seen it..

my weirdest was definitely when I tried to sell my astra.
This greek bloke from North London phoned me up, said he would be there by 9am, turned up at 3pm.
Turned up in a matt black Uno with mismatched alloys, pimp tints and a scooby scoop.
He brought along a "friend" who proceeded to pull the car apart, burn the clutch to a crisp whilst "Testing" it, then tell him it was a bag of **** and not to pay over 900 for it.
I soldiered on and took him on a test drive, but when I get back my neighbours asked me why my "Friends" had chosen to take a **** in their garden whilst I had been out!
Needless to say I didnt sell to him on general principle!
astraboy.

I,m having this pre advertise for sale nightmare, i am selling my STI V7 Wagon and after looking at the Auto Trader it seems full of pimp chav mobiles and i just know im gonna get WANNA PX MAAAAATE INIT.Then they bring all of there relatives round even the dead ones to view and slag your car off, then say they don't really want it but i'll give you so much for it anyway. Then all 40 of them want to get in for the test drive................... I might just px mine at a dealers and be done with it.
