Got some glasses sent from specs direct they arrived broken but when I sent them back the company phoned and said that
1. there was no way they arrived broken
strange seeing as they did and the case was a soft ish leather one not a hard case

2. that it was my problem once they and that once posted they accepted no further respnsablilty for the glasses.

It says on their website though that

. What guarantee policy do you hold?
A. . However if the glasses do arrive with a fault we will replace them free of charge. For a full refund you must phone us within 10 days of dispatch. If you require any further information before placing your order speak to a customer adviser on 0871 200 3307

Does anyone know where I stand with this ? rather than mess about can I just cancel the credit card transaction and get my money back or do I have to take them to court ?
website is www.specsdirectuk.com

Whilst cheaper frames and lenses are obviously tempting, don't take short cuts with the health of you eyes. Make sure you have a proper eye examination by an optometrist each year, even if you think you don't have any eyesight problems. We take good vision for granted, until it's impaired.

I don't think choosing frames / buying glasses online is a good idea, you really need to try them on before you buy.
