So how many lefties are there?
Following on from the watch thread, how many left handers are there out there?
I'm almost completely ambidextrous although I don't write much with my right hand. Most other "handed" things I do with my right hand except for eating with a spoon i.e. play guitar right-handed, eat with knife and fork the right way round.
Still annoys me that scissors don't work in my left hand though
I also don't use a backhand in tennis, I just swap hands

I am a righty and eat the wrong way round. Lol
I asked this question a while back and its to do with the way you are brought up, apparantly there are some asian countries or somewhere where the majority are lefties.

Im left handed, but I play most sports conventionally although I shoot (rifle and shotgun, I can shoot a pistol either way) left handed. I wasnt sure which way to box but I finally adopted a right handed stance there. I cant begin to use left handed scissors though, after a lifetime of adapting to right handed ones!

Left-handed writing, right-handed throwing, right-handed guitar playing, left-handed hammering and sawing, left handed scissor operation. But get this.. I've compensated so much for using right-handed scissors in my left hand - that is, squeezing the scissors in an awkward way so the blades work - I can't use proper left-handed scissors.

Another lefty here.
Eat in the 'correct' way, play football with my right foot, play tennis/golf/cricket with my right hand, but throw and write with my left. Another who can't use left handed scissors...weird.

Write, bowl, bat, hold a raquet, darts, spoon, all left handed; snooker, scissors, knife and fork, golf, all right handed; throwing, catching, painting, drilling, cutting, screwdriving, I'm ambidextrous, which is handy (excuse the pun).

Another creative and smart 'leftie' signing in (aren't we all)?
Not all things are done leftie-stylie though -
Scissors (right - have never tried proper scissors)
Eating (right)
Texting (ambi)
Mouse (ambi)

I do eat the "right way round" but that's about it.

My parents have a very old medical book, which lists being left handed as an illness.
Shame we die earlier than the right handed commoners.
