Was just wondering if anyone knew anything - i heard a rumour the other day and am hoping it is only a rumour that his problems were cancer related and he's not be given long ?
As i say i'm hoping this isnt true and wish him all the best as i'm sure many on here do.

He was spotted a couple of weeks ago at Castle Combe by a friend - apparently he was looking 'quite good for a dead person'
I have no idea other than that

My grandad fully recoverd from a Brain tumor and following brain surgery at 65. A throat tumour at 70....and again at 75.
So there is always every hope he'll live![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
(Only after what my Gramps went through he finally died from kidney failure at 88 thanks to a doctor who wrote him off a "old age" so leaving a treatable condition detroriate until it was too late- funny how a fit anf able person capeable of walking driving etc suddenly becomes unable to walk, drive, frequently blacks out and starts slurring speach in the space of a month

His website is terrible. No contact details. No updates.![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
As said above, last I heard was that he was doing well with regards to the tumour. But as for any new developments???
Robert Reid seems to be the person doingmost of the media duties on Burns behalf, maybe hed be the one to contact?

Hes probably keeping a low profile for a reason, just wish him well and if you feel you need to do more, contribute to a local charity specialising in his problems.

I heard a rumour last night that he was supposed to be driving a course car at Wales Rally GB, but is now not going to. No basis of fact for this rumour though.
Rallying is missing you Richard!!

I cant see him driving any car again. As SupaMiniCupa says rallying is missing him. I would have thought that he would be heartened to be receiving messages of support through his website. He hasnt competed for years now. But people havent forgotten him.
But I do think unless he remembers his fans, they will eventually fall by the wayside. He doesnt have to make himself availaible for every little thing. But regular updates or a guestbook would be nice.

The last I heard is family wanted no publicity and just wanted to be left to fight Richards illness by themselves. If it was me, the last thing I'd be worried about was a website.
I wish him well and respect their privacy.

Naming the "reliable source" would be of benefit to us all. One really hopes that this isn't misinformation, or, god forbid, some sick joke on someone's part (not aiming this at the poster, maybe they were the subject of someone's sick joke).
