..complete and utter *****?
It's his birthday today. On the "today's birthdays" spot he finishes with "Steve Wright, broadcaster, 48".
Now, I remember when he used to be older than me. On the occasions recently when I've heard his inane dribblings, he's implied that he is in his late forties with a birthday coming up. However, I seemed to remember him having a fiftieth birthday some time ago and I found this.
When the BBC biog shows his real age, why did he try to bull**** that he is younger than he is? The sooner that this idiot with the over inflated ego is removed from the airwaves, the better.
(All IMHO, of course)

Anyone who requires a "posse" to broadcast isn't up to the job.
I remember listening to him when I was at school and he was on radio 1 and one thing the struck me was that he would make a big deal out of laughing at people's surnames (which I thought was pathetic if that's all he can find to talk about), catch him on R2 occasionally 20 years later and he's still doing it.
Muppet.

absoloutely. he isn't trying to deliver a subtle type of radio humour at all. that's why all the stars cue up to get on the show and it's by far the most popular afternoon radio show in the British Isles.![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/images/icons/icon12.gif)
for those of us who find this level of radio show too challenging there is always Tweenies videos to watch - great songs on there too. try them, you will be more at home there!
