This is scarey
Send a text containing "kidsok" to 60777 and it will reply back telling you where you (or rather your phone) are. The first two tries are free (as far as i can tell)
It's a demo of a service to locate your kids (see www.kidsok.net for all the details), although a 500metre to 7.5km radius isn't exactly going to tell you which house/pub they are in.
...but my worry is that phone operators are "selling" your personal details (such as your location) to third parties - an i don't remember Orange telling me that they were going to do this
Also, i wonder what checks they make as to the "target" phones that you specify - how do they know that they belong to "your kids"???
Note: It doesn't work on 3 or Virgin.

This is your phones location; its to demonstrate the system, you cant find out where anyone elses phone is! There are strict guidelines in place for tracking other peoples telephones with an opt-in and regular reminder messages.
