Val d'Isere is the best and easy to get round
Chamonix is the most extreme of anywhere (but 40-50 people die there every year - you have been warned)
Klosters is for toffs

Tignes
Alpe D'Huez
Val D'Isere
Les Arcs
Val Thoren
Chamonix
All high (apart from chamonix) and very snow sure.
Also have skied and like
Milky Way (vast ski area but cant rely on snow)
Wengen (austria) - Best ski area imo but again snow is a problem

This stopped for a while, but at easter my mate managed less then an hour and then went home the next day!
Some say I'm a little stupid - I just think it's them for trying to follow me!
Was skiing in the off-pieste by Sache with a girl to be told 'that's where my friend fell and broke her pelvis' - I'm not surprised we were on a 70degree slope!
Still went back for more

probably just self catering as we will eat out although how much is a chalet with one of those nice little chalet girls?
i am a fairly experienced skiier as are the rest of them. only want on piste stuff though cos i like my legs and pelvis the way they are!

I've been to Wengen (which is in Switzerland not Austria) and it was very good but being Switzerland it was also pricey in comparison to Austria. Have been to a couple of places in Austria best of which was Obergurgl. This is very high and pretty much guaranteed snow even at the end of season. Neither of the above are showbiz resorts so prices wont be as pricey but they are large resorts with good night life (well were when I went years ago).

I skiied in Chamonix in Feb last year. Did the Vallee Blanche, and a few other routes, and on another day, went throught the tunnel (getting done for speeding in the process....), and spent a day in Courmayeur, Italy, where there are a good few nice routes as well.
Certainly one of the best places I've been to
Also been in Saas Fee, Switzerland, just near Zermatt, but I'd say Cham. was better.

If you are all intermediate+ and looking for a lads holiday you can't go wrong. I spent a season there and it is insane! the skiing is awesome and you can ski in Lech and Zurs on your pass which incidently is the scanning type so no faffing about with lift passes.
Some very challenging skiing and lots of itineries - basically off piste but blasted in the immidiate area
Apres goes something like this, Mosewert or KK's starting at about 3-4pm then ski down off the mountain pissed to the highstreet for a pizza in Scotties on to Cuba or Funky chickens after sinking a few Flugals then Kanderhar till 6 in the morning
Can't beat it (esp if you were working breakfast the next day )
I have also been fortunate enough to have worked in Courchevel 1850 and Meribel and know people that have worked in most resorts throughout the Alps so if you have any specific questions let me know!

Andy, spot on mate! Ah the memories! Skiing after the KK is err interesting!
The nightlife is the best I've found on a skiing holiday.
